“I Can’t Afford it!”

(Advice for people talking about starting or growing businesses. Based on the words of the Fearless One )

This is the real reason poor people remain poor, because they use this one single statement as an excuse for not taking action.
There are two questions this statement should swiftly be replaced with:

    1. Can I afford NOT to do X
    1. How can I find a way to do X?

The truth is:

  • You’ll find £2+ lottery tickets:
  • You’ll find the money when the car breaks down:
  • When your boiler breaks you have no choice but to find the money to replace it:
  • That watch/ dress/pair of shoes/ TV subscriptions/ evening out/bottles of wine - you find the money for all of those
  • You’ll find the money for the £97 course that promises the world to get you rich...then never watch the videos let alone implement
  • And all the family has the latest phones and consoles, right?

None of these offer ROI. (return on Investment)

You’ll try side hustles, dreams of get rich quick schemes, MLM, working from home, passive income.
…everything you possibly can to avoid MASTERY in your business.
And I don’t mean sales, marketing, systems, networking, social media, websites or any of that stuff.

You go from expert to expert, and free video to free video, reading books…but never really, truly invest in yourself and your business.
Your business is the best investment vehicle going that is guaranteed to give you a positive ROI.
There are two fundamental reasons why you can’t afford the things you want to invest in:

You trick yourselves into thinking you’re making good decisions, when all the time you cannot see
the consequences of your actions (or inactions) further down the line.

And for some reason you are treating investing in your business as a risky investment.
It’s YOUR business!   It’s down to you whether that investment works out or not.

“I can’t afford it!” Is what got you here in the first place.
When times are hard you can rely on, “I can’t afford it!” to give you an easy way out.
But it’s not an easy way out is it? It means you get to stay exactly where you are.

KICKSTART YOUR WAY TO A PROFITABLE BUSINESS AND A BETTER LIFESTYLE.. and look for ways to spend your money to grow your business.. rather than spending time finding reasons why not to spend money to grow your business.

Write down your lifestyle goals, and targets for the business that will give you the lifestyle: business targets to be based on profits and cash. Then seek advice to help create a practical plan for the business, including the funding required. Take positive action to grow your lifestyle now, not next week, next year … or when you win the lottery.
